Window Panels

~ Developing your brief / how to commission ~

A brief is a document that essentially records all of your thoughts and  ideas either on paper or through email and is an important part of the commission process. This is because it establishes what is to be achieved.
Points to consider when choosing your design.

1. Size and shape ~ if you require a square or rectangular panel, please send the exact measurements stating whether in inches or centimetres: height followed by width. This can be sent via email along with other details.
If you require any other shape, for example, arched or curved then please send me a paper pattern, the exact size and shape by post. I will then have the glass cut to size/shape and toughened prior to design application.

2. Design ~  where is the design to be displayed? eg: front entrance door, kitchen cabinet. If the design is to be installed as part of the building, what period style is the house?
A photograph can be most helpful to make sure the design is suitable for the purpose. What kind of art do you like and do you have something particular in mind?Again, photos, magazine pictures or sketches are most helpful. What colours do you like? Do you want the design to be obscure to hide an unsightly view or for privacy? Maybe you would like the piece displayed as wall art?- in which case you could have a joiner make you a lightbox frame.Take into account your budget also. You may need to hire someone to install your panel.
